Kathryn Cline was a housemate on the third season of Big Brother.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Kathryn Cline was born and raised in California. She moved to Nevada when she was seventeen for her modeling career. She appeared in numerous national campaigns for clothing, alcohol, and hospitality brands. Kathryn excelled in school, and graduated second in her class. When she grew tired of modeling, she began a career as a professional poker player. She hoped to hide from the other housemates how smart she was, and instead play the "dumb blonde that's a model" card. Kathryn's plan going into the House was to work with the women and seduce the men into keeping her safe as well. She described herself as a "hardcore" feminist, and hoped that if she did not win another woman would. Kathryn hoped to use the prize money, should she win the series, to invest as well as buy her dream home.

Kathryn entered the House on Day 1. She had a close alliance with the women in the first week, and began forming flirtatious bonds with Marcel and Omar. She and Andrew initially had a similar relationship, but she did not want to use him in the game after learning he was a widow. She and Naomi had a close friendship up until the latter's eviction in week three. Though she was initially loyal to the women, she began to turn on them when she was nominated in the third week against Emily. When the girls made it clear they would keep Emily over her, Kathryn worked to ensure the votes to stay by forming the new Six Shooter alliance. She grew closer to Marcel after this, and an upset Omar turned against her. He was subsequently evicted in the fourth week. Seen as manipulative and sneaky, she became a target for the opposing side of the House while also having many of her own allies such as Kaitlyn and Andrew plotting against her as well due to her control of Marcel.

Interestingly, Kathryn's target helped her survive in the game longer. She used this as a tool to convince those in power to not nominate her, as she would be a target for others in the later weeks. She threw a number of competitions to keep up a weak persona, while winning both a Power of Veto and Head of Household when needed. Though it seemed that she had the votes, Kathryn was ultimately evicted on Day 62 in a two to zero vote. She came in fifth place, and voted for Isabella to win. She was met with a mixed reaction upon exiting the House. Her gameplay was seen as strong, though some questioned her decisions from a moral standpoint. She has gained a reputation during the season and after for her cutthroat performance and developed a cult following among hardcore fans of the game.

She returned to the House on Day 11 in the show's fourth season to host that week's Power of Veto competition. She left the House that evening. She became a panelist on The Big Brother Mash-Up during the show's fourth season.
