Omar Willis was a housemate on the third season of Big Brother.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Omar Willis was born and raised in Tennessee. He is the son of a preacher and a former school teacher. He was homeschooled for his entire life, and attended church every Sunday and Wednesday. He was an online college student at the time of appearing on the show. While still respecting God and his family, Omar felt that he had lived a sheltered life and wanted to do something to broaden his horizons. He believed that he would grow as a person inside the House, and experience people from all sides of life. Omar hoped to stay true to his morals in the House, and not lie or betray anyone in the game. He hoped to use the prize money, should he win the season, to help with things at the church as well as give his parents money as a thank you to raising him.

Omar entered the House on Day 1. He joined the Armageddon alliance quickly, and swore allegiance to the men in the House. Omar was criticized by viewers in the first few weeks for comments that were deemed misogynistic and homophobic. Kathryn began a flirtatious relationship with Omar, unaware of his background and that he was a virgin, and he developed strong feelings for her. When she was nominated in the third week, Omar began to realize that she was playing him and had a similar bond with most of the men in the House. He did not take this well, and cut ties with her and Marcel. He became vocal about his dislike of her, and vowed to evict her. This ultimately led to him being nominated on Day 27 by Marcel as his target. Omar was unanimously evicted on Day 29. Upon exiting the House, he was met with a harsh reaction from fans. He apologized for his offensive comments, but it was not well received. He has not appeared on the series since his initial season.
