BB Road Trip
The Big Brother Road Trip was the first spin-off series in the Sims Big Brother franchise.[1][2] The show was an online exclusive through the SVC streaming app, lasting for eight episodes.[3] Despite rumors of a second season, the series was cancelled one month after its conclusion.[4][5][6][7]
Rules and format[edit | edit source]
The series followed eight former housemates from the Sims Big Brother franchise.[8][9] The participants traveled across the United States in a large RV,[10] and made pit stops at several notable places to participate in tasks.[11][12] There were a total of eight tasks, one per episode, and completing a task would put the contestants one step closer to winning their grand prize fund.[13][14][15] Much like the parent show, the contestants were reportedly cut off from the outside world.[16] It was later reported that they were permitted to make one fifteen minute phone call per night.[17][18][19] Each of the contestants were required to participate in all tasks, and failure to do so would earn them an automatic fail for that challenge.[20][21] They were not informed as to whether they had passed all of the tasks.[22] Should the group complete six out of eight task successfully, they would split a $200,000 grand prize.[23][24][25] The show was filmed over the course of sixteen days.[26]
Contestants[edit | edit source]
The cast for the season was unveiled two weeks prior to the season premiere.[27][28][29] The show featured both fan favorite housemates as well as some that were evicted in the first few weeks.[30][31][32][33] Spots on the series were offered to former housemates such as Stallone Morales and Ozzie Campbell, both of whom had to decline.[34][35] The final cast of eight was praised by fans and critics, who were pleased with the mix of fan favorites and second chance contestants.[36][37][38]
